Compressor Cover
My assignment was to create a cover for the compressor of our engine. I was given the scanned mesh model and the following parameters:
Must contour 3mm above the blades.
Must not block air intake.
Must include a flange for mounting.
Must be machinable with campus resources.
Nobody on the team knew how to work with mesh models or make this part. I was able to independently learn from online resources.

Other Parts I Worked On
Stator
4 Pics Right: I manufactured and installed the fins for this part. This had to be done by hand and took me several days.
Shaft
Pic Below: I designed and researched the part to ensure the material could withstand the 105,000 RPM and to optimize the flow of lubricant within the shaft tunnel. Achieved this by changing the material from stainless steel to AISI 1045 carbon steel and by (later) tapering the edges of the shaft.
